Project will renovate the iconic Eliel Saarinen-designed church tower

The Jeffris Family Foundation is pleased to announce that the Friends of First Christian Church and the Landmark Columbus Foundation has raised the $1.1 million Jeffris Foundation challenge grant match to renovate the iconic Eliel Saarinen-designed, mid-century modern church tower. The grant will allow for restoration work to begin in March and be completed by November 2023.

In August 2021, the Foundation awarded Friends of First Christian Church with a 2-to-1 Challenge Grant – if they raised $1 million within three years, we would give them $500,000. They surpassed their match amount in less than two years!
