Grand opening slated for Oct. 13, 2018

The Jeffris Family Foundation is pleased to announce that the Linn County Historical Society has completed the restoration of The History Center’s Douglas Mansion in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In 2016 the Jeffris Heartland Fund paid 50 percent of the cost of a Historic Structures Report for the mansion. In 2017 we awarded Linn County Historical Society with a 2-to-1 Challenge Grant – if they raised $800,000 within three years, we would give them $400,000. They raised their amount in less than one year!
